Michael Clark becomes chief executive officer of Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, June 1, 2016.

Clark comes to Spotsylvania Regional with more than 30 years of hospital and healthcare leadership experience. “Michael has been in the interim role during the past month and we are excited that he is coming aboard permanently. Michael comes to HCA after 14 years at LifePoint with his most recent position as President of their American Division based in Brentwood, TN. He brings extensive experience with hospital leadership and operations,” said Rob Carell, president of HCA's Capital Division.

Clark is a recipient of LifePoint Health’s prestigious Fleetwood Award for outstanding contributions by a hospital administrator, a recognition he was awarded in 2003. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Troy State University in Alabama and his master’s degree in health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also is a Fellow of the Advisory Board Company.

He enjoys golf and hunting. He and his wife Stacye have been married 25 years, and have two children. They have a grandson and a granddaughter.
